Cookie Policy

Effective date: July 1, 2026. This policy explains how puzzle.now uses cookies and similar browser storage, and how you can control them. It works alongside our privacy policy.

The short version: we use a small number of essential cookies to keep you signed in and to protect forms, and we may use privacy-respecting analytics to see which puzzles are popular. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and your puzzle stats live in your browser, not on a server.

What we use

Essential cookies

When you sign in or submit a form (like contact), we set a small session cookie that keeps you signed in and blocks cross-site request forgery. Without these, sign-in and forms cannot work. They are cleared when you sign out or your session ends.

Local storage (not a cookie)

Your best times, win streaks, high scores, in-progress puzzles and settings are saved in your browser's local storage, right on your own device. This never leaves your browser unless you sign in and choose to sync it. Clearing your browser data erases it.

Analytics

We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand overall use, such as which puzzles get played most. This data is grouped together, is not used to identify you personally, and is never sold. See our privacy policy for more.

What we do not use

  • No advertising cookies.
  • No cross-site or third-party tracking pixels.
  • No selling or sharing of personal data.

Managing cookies

You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking essential cookies means sign-in and forms will not work, but you can still play every puzzle as a guest with no account needed. Questions? Reach us through the contact page, or read our terms and conditions.
